Planning For a New Week
I find it helpful to plan out my week in advance, scheduling any commitments, responsibilities, and tasks before the busy-ness sets in. I find that approaching my week this way, helps ensure that the most important things are always accounted for. It also gives me a sense of clarity and control over my week.
I encourage you to follow the steps below and plan out your week in advance to ensure a healthy balance and keep you on track. You can do this at the end of the week, whether it’s a few minutes in the morning, afternoon, or before bed. What’s important is that you set aside some time to organise your schedule before a new week begins. I like to spend some time on a Sunday afternoon, booking my Yoga and Pilates classes for the week, scheduling time for self-care (e.g. ‘Take myself out for a chai latte and to the park at 2pm on Monday after I finish my writing session’), scheduling any new to-do’s for the week, and also blocking out time to work on my various projects.
My top 5 not-to-miss steps when planning for a new week:
- Schedule time for exercise
- Make time for self-care and rest
- Schedule all upcoming to-do’s
- Block out time for projects, assignments, and other major work/study commitments
- Set yourself a daily top priority
With Love,
Jessica
