Advice to my teenage self...
Dear teenage self,
If I could turn back time and have a heart-to-heart with you, there's one piece of advice I wish I could share – give yourself permission to be curious and embrace the unknown. Life is an extraordinary adventure, and sometimes, the most incredible paths are the ones we least expect.
I remember being in your shoes, so fixated on having my entire life planned out meticulously. I thought I had it all figured out, but oh, how life had other plans for me! And you know what? That's where the real magic happened.
I've learned that the key is to stay open to the opportunities that resonate in our hearts. Instead of forcing a rigid plan, let life flow naturally, guiding us to unexpected and extraordinary destinations. It's okay not to have all the answers right now. Embrace curiosity, try new things, and explore the wonders that life offers.
Trust me, every experience, every detour, adds to the beautiful tapestry of your journey. Life has a way of nudging us towards our true passions and purpose. I remember when my own path began to shift, and I realized my passion lay elsewhere. It was tough to let go of the old plan, but it led me to create Study With Jess and connect with all of you. And you know what? Embracing change was the best decision I ever made. It brought me to a fulfilling path that aligns with my true self.
So, my dear teenage self, know that it's okay to evolve and change directions. Allow yourself to grow and embrace the unknown. Life has a funny way of surprising us with something even better than we could have imagined.
You hold the pen to your life's story, and the beauty lies in the blank pages ahead. Be bold, be curious, and let your heart be your compass. Trust that the journey you're embarking on will lead you to the most magical places.
With love and curiosity,
Jessica Holsman
